About Us
Duck Radio broadcasts on 107.3MHz with distributed low-power FM transmitters operating within Industry Canada RSS-210 limits (section A2.8), covering areas of South Edmonton and Leduc County, Alberta.
Duck Radio was originally a complement to AHTR Radio 1700AM, with experimentation beginning with the FM band. The reason is that FM signals are more predictable and easier to control than AM signals, which is important as an unlicensed broadcaster to prevent interference to other licensed commercial broadcast stations, and more importantly to the adjacent aircraft band.
The station currently has 2 major live features: The Duck Podcast and Jole's Radio Show. During non-programming hours, Duck107FM simulcasts the programming on AHTR Radio 1700.
